I agree that professional presentations are an effective method of communication. In them, the speaker’s thoughts are structured in a system of slides to narrate the problem effectively. It is crucial to strike a balance between the way the information is shown in the presentation and the way the speaker speaks. The speech of a calm and confident person attracts the audience’s attention (Rolleter, 2021). However, it is also important that what one tells is logical and consistent. Indeed, consistently presenting in front of an audience can help overcome the fear of performing. Speaking persuasion is a skill, as my colleague rightly pointed out, and is critically important. The value of a talk lies precisely in the words that the orator says. Moreover, preparation for a speech is no less important than creating the text of the report itself and the research carried out (Moore, 2021). I once noticed that the more often I perform, the more confident I feel, and the less I am worried about the whole process.
I also try to compose my presentations so that they have a clear message. To do this, I cut everything unnecessary and save only phrases that are important for understanding the text. Indeed, I also have weaknesses when it comes to making presentations. In particular, sometimes, it is difficult for me to focus on the main thing, and I devote a lot of time to details. However, to avoid this, there are techniques such as timing, editing, and planning the scenario for the slides. I agree with my colleague that life is a learning experience, and therefore it is necessary to accept and work on our weaknesses.
