Today’s perception of health has gone far beyond visiting medical check-ups and living a “healthy” lifestyle. By all means, these aspects are important, yet they are not exclusive in their nature, as health encompasses mindfulness and taking care of one’s inner self. Having gained immense popularity over the past years, yoga is considered a perfect combination of mindfulness and physical exercise. The following activity requires practically no equipment and time or effort while presenting a variety of benefits for the body and emotional state.

Hence, creating a positive impact on lung capacity, posture, and breathing, yoga becomes a real life-savior in a world replete with stress and overwhelming events. Moreover, according to the researchers, the introduction of yoga to the students’ lifestyle makes a significant impact on their stress-coping mechanisms (Kathapillai, 2019). Indeed, when applying Yoga Asana to the daily schedule, students tend to reduce the overall stress levels and mitigate their perception of stress in general, making the response less acute.

Another significant benefit of yoga is the fact that it may be performed anywhere. For example, good weather is a great opportunity to practice outside and feel the connection to nature while empowering the body. Considering the current context of pandemic and isolation, many platforms present online yoga courses for a reasonable price, with a three-month course costing up to $30. Although such an option is beneficial in terms of achieving results in the short term, there are numerous options on how to practice at home. For people willing to experience yoga at its best, there exists a wide range of yoga guides and practice patterns. They may be found on such websites as www.isha.sadhguru.org. Thus, taking everything into consideration, it may be concluded that yoga is one of the best ways to perform an activity that enriches body and soul at the same time.
